Happy Thanksgiving

ImageChef Word Mosaic - ImageChef.com

J and I will be traveling to see my family.  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  My Dad’s side of the family tries super hard for all of us to get together.  As we get older and are getting married it’s becoming more difficult for all of us to get together.  Even for J and I.  You see, we decided after last years debacle and 15+ car ride over the Christmas holiday that we would not do that to ourselves and any future kids.  So, we will switch holidays.  I get Thanksgiving with my family during odd-numbered years and he gets Christmas with his family; then we switch.  It’s only fair and we are willing to negotiate if need be.  I hope your Thanksgiving is stupendous and you get to share time with those you love… and eat too much!

Cheers!

  1. I like your word turkey. Very cute. Switching holidays is a good idea. I haven’t had to worry about that yet. We got sent to Germany a few months after we got married. It was early in November, so all of our holidays have been thousands of miles from either family. We usually either hang out by ourselves, go to a friend’s house, or have friends over.

    1. Yeah, switching was the only thing we could think of that was fair. It’s still hard, but at least we are being equally. I bet you guys are creating your own traditions so far away from family. It has to be nice to celebrate with friends that are near! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Fair enough compromise 🙂 I hope you and your husband have a safe and pleasant journey, and a wonderful time with your family. Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. Thanks! It’s only thing that was fair to us all. It’ll be hard for me at Christmas time when we are with his family, but I am doing good so far!
